Pu erh tea leaves are best prepared in the traditional style of multiple, quick steepings of the leaves. 

 

Remember, high quality Pu erh Tea leaves can be brewed approximately 20 times to experience the complex layers of flavors and increased sweetness of each brew!   
 
 
Directions 

 

  • Fill pot or strainer with 3-5 grams (about a handful) of Pu erh tea leaves.

 

  • Rinse the leaves.  Pour boiling water over leaves and discard immediately to release the flavor and rid any excess sediment.  Rinse leaves 2 or 3 times.

 

  • First 1-10 brews: Steep leaves approximately 5 seconds and immediately pour into serving pitcher or cups and enjoy!

 

  • For each brew thereafter, increase the steeping time according to your personal preference.
